Company-law work is the life-cycle of a company or LLP on the Ministry of Corporate Affairs portal: forming it, keeping its register and filings true, and recording every change the Act requires. A private company in GIDA, a hospitality company in Ayodhya, and a family holding company in Basti use the same forms; they do not use them at the same pace.
The annual cycle
- DIR-3 KYC of every DIN, ordinarily by 30 September.
- Financial statements (AOC-4) within 30 days of the AGM.
- Annual return (MGT-7 / MGT-7A) within 60 days of the AGM.
- ADT-1 on appointment or reappointment of the auditor.
- DPT-3 for deposits and exempted deposits, ordinarily by 30 June.
- MSME-1 for specified outstanding dues, 30 April and 31 October.
Event-based forms — change of directors, registered office, capital, charges — have their own clocks, often 15 or 30 days. A calendar view is on the compliance calendar. The annual-filing walkthrough is ROC annual filings for private companies.
